New Throttle Station
MelbNTrak needed two new throttle stations and these are what we built.
The circuit has overload protection and can easily handle multiple locos
on each track.
The old throttle stations had the controls arranged horizontally, which
wasn't representative of the track arrangement. The new controls are laid
out vertically on the panel which makes operating them more intuitive.
The track lines have arrow heads at one end to indicate the direction
of normal running, and the switches are labelled for directions and centre
off. We hope these changes will make the stations easier for new members
to operate.
